CodexPet Nest is designed as a companion, not a patch. It keeps the desktop integration local, transparent, and reversible.

Does

Reads pet position only to align the overlay.
Reads local usage logs for the usage indicator.
Reads system time and date metrics for theme display.
Lets users configure quick actions locally.
Verifies downloaded packages with SHA256.
Extracts packages safely.
Stores settings locally.

Does not patch Codex Desktop.
Does not inject into app bundles.
Does not upload prompts, sessions, repositories, or source code.
Does not execute scripts from downloaded packages.
Does not accept commands, app paths, shortcut names, or local targets from marketplace packages.
Does not silently switch the active pet.

Apple Silicon arm64 is the primary target.

Download the DMG.
Drag CodexPet Nest to Applications.
Open it from the menu bar.
